The exterior of this mineral bubble developed within voids or hallows of igneous (volcanic) basalt and, with time, accumulated layers of silica-rich water. Through gradual evaporation, the water deposited silica layers, creating the intricate hues of quartz. This complex process unfolded slowly, with each layer caring, distinct impurities yielding diverse patterns. Subsequently extracted and meticulously cut to unveil its extraordinary crystals.
